Who is a Yusya?
ヒーローとはどういう人なのか。
勇者とは、どういう人なのか。
It depends on person to person.
それは人によって異なるだろう。
I would like to introduce 2 authors for thinking about an hero.
ヒーローについて考察した、2人の人物を紹介したい。
【1人目】荒木飛呂彦
Hirohiko Araki, the autor of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, talked about the condition of an hero in his book, ‘An-Art of Manga by Hirohiko Araki.’
『荒木飛呂彦の漫画術』の中で、ジョジョの奇妙な冒険シリーズの
作者である荒木さんは、ヒーローの条件について下記のように述べる。(P69)
“The condition of an hero is actually, being in solitude.
It should be like that because in story, an hero has to solve the problem
by only his or her-self. “
“ヒーローの条件が何かといえば、実は、孤独である、ということです。(中略)
自分の力でその難問を解決しなければならない主人公の立場は、どうしても
孤独にならざるを得ません”
He still continues to say that
“What a beautiful attitude that a hero is just looking for something important even
the society-rule doesn’t accept it!
He might die silently on the way, however, he still requires the truth he believes.
You know what? That is called, an hero.”
彼はヒーローの様子についてさらに考察を加える。
“社会のルールから認められなくてもかまわない、たとえ孤独であっても大切な
モノを追い求める、これが最も美しい姿ではないでしょうか。(中略)
ひっそりと死んでいくかもしれない、それでも自分の中の正しい真実を追う人、
それがヒーローなのです。”
【2人目】やなせたかし
Takashi Yanase is the author of Anpanman, one the famous children characters in Japan.
やなせたかしさんは、ご存知アンパンマンの作者だ。
In his book, called, ‘If I talk about Justice’, he suugests that
“It’s better not to be an hero becuase you will be lonely and not feel comfortable.
If you follow your jusctice, I bet you will get hurt from others.
For example, Anpanman sacrifice part of his face when he feeds hungry chidren.”
『私が正義について語るなら』の中で、やなせさんはヒーローについて語る。
“ヒーロになんてならない方がいいけどね。寂しいし、あんまりいいもんじゃない。誰かに感謝されたりもしないし。” (P126)
“自分が傷ついてもやるという気持ちがなければ、正義は行えないんです。アンパンマンは、自分の顔を子供に食べさせるのだから、ある面では自己犠牲です。”
