(America, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State University flags)
Today, I want to review some discussions with my roommates.
I talked with Josh and Michel, and Tori about something related to America.
In every topic, the Internet helps me a lot, especially Wikipedia.
Thank you for the invention.
1 Politics
Since Oklahoma is a republican state, they will vote for them. There is no reason. It’s just like my hometown Toyama prefecture, where people prefer to vote for the Liberal Democrats party.
2 Race
They said that there is clearly a race problem although I’ve ever experienced strong experience. We are talking about this problem by watching one of the promotion videos made by Michel Jackson, which mentions it. 3 Tribe
Oklahoma is the country where native Americans lived as forced emigration in the past. So, the state flag has a characteristic. Josh talked to me about his Peru experience but forgot his saying, so next time I write it.
4 Obesity
I’m shocked at some student’s shape because they are too thick!
The ratio is more significant than Japan, of course. In my sense, I think over 40 % of students are fat. I heard that Oklahoma has many overweight people. The reason is simple. Food. Using too much sugar. I‘m shocked when Josh made tea with lots of sugar! Also, many foods don’t include vegetables. It isn’t easy to access fresh vegetables even though I live in a rural area. My father said a joke that humans would become like animals they eat… I seriously consider this problem was eating a giant pepperoni pizza!
5 Religion
Josh is a humble Christian. So, he talks me about my religion. Although I’m Buddhist, called Rinzai sect, I don’t think much. But I said that I believe the sense of En, which means we may have something special. For example, I met good roommates who like Japanese food and animation by chance to be lucky. I don’t believe in God, but I think I will meet someone I need as long as I do my best. I feel if I can meet a nice person, I have a responsibility to deal with. Next time I will write about Christ.
6 Music
Tori told me a lot about American music. Since I only know Michel Jackson and few songs, I need to learn more. She introduced this web site, http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100#/charts/hot-100. But this is one measure, so it isn’t easy to understand which song people like.
7 Social security
As I might mention it before, Tori is interested in this problem because she studies it. She talked about the gap between the rich and other people.
I want to know more about America…with some experience related.
