Two years ago, I studied TOEFL with my friend in university when we experienced a big earthquake.
This disaster also changed me.
I gave up researching nuclear energy to write a graduate thesis.
I was interested in the nuclear business to think about a sustainable society. For instance, the previous year we had it, I went to a nuclear plant in Turuga with my two friends to interview, and I talked with my uncle, who works at Tokyo Electric Power Company.
However, I was reluctant to think about it after the nuclear accident.
Because I had a setback, I could not think about this problem because of my lack of power.
To know the real situation, I went to Tohoku twice as a volunteer.
The first time was summer in Kesenuma in 2011, and the second time was in Ishinomaki for Golden week in 2012.
The first time I felt that we are born the world, people need to think about energy problems to protect the country and Earth.

The second time, I experienced the possibility of dying there because of heavy rain in the area in terrible road conditions.

I know it’s challenging to have attention to danger every hour.
Naturally, we get used to the situation. But, I believe we can change something better to prepare for an emergency.
All I have to do is to live with all my power every day.
